SEVENTEEN!

HELLO ALL!

I''m back for a little bit! I have officially graduated and I definitely AM GOING TO UNIVERSITY IN CHESTER. So lets do a little celebratory post with my babes...SEVENTEEN!

Now I know, The last post I put up was also about a Korean artist, I know. But if you would have told me in March, when I went to see Zion.T, that five months later I'd be into this male group, I would have literally laughed at you and told you my boyband days ended with One Direction and the WWA Tour.
BUT ITS HAPPENED. AND ITS HAPPENED IN KOREAN. So..here I am.

Apparently this rookie group had been in the talks for while, but of course, I didn't know.I was probably listening to Brad Paisley during my old schools football season. But I found them, by watching one of my favorite youtube channels: 2MinJinkJongKey. These two lovely ladies react to kpop videos, and I constantly keep up with these ladies, because my kpop..I guess...'cravings' (???)  change. Like three whole solid months I'll be a faithful koreaboo , and then the fourth month I'll turn into this hip hop junkie, or this alternative chick, or a reggaehead, or a country gal, and any and all kpop will be deleted at that moment. So to barely keep up, I attentively watch 2MinJinkJongKey. and I saw their reaction to Seventeen's "Adore U" or "Akkinda" video...and it made me want to go watch the video. And I did. And now they wont leave my head. I started watching their show seventeen project and informing myself about previous members and their story, and I still just cannot get enough.

so yeah i'm in love with another boyband..and this time there are a lot more members, but I just thinks that makes being a fan more fun.

I think I'll introduce their sub units, then my biases...yeah..

OKAY SO,

There are 13 members and they are split into 3 teams. There is the vocal unit, whose team Leader is Lee Jihoon (Woozi). Others on this team include:

Jeonghan
Joshua
DK (Dokyeom)

LOL DISSIDISCLAIMER. I JUST POSTED THIS FOR THE HELL OF IT. THIS WAS MADEIN MAY 2015. HAHAHAA I WAS SO CUTE. and since then , yes I have been stable in the kpop world thanks to seventeen and TOO MANY other male groups. lol

March 27th Amoeba Culture Concert

Hello all,

It has been sometime, and it probably will be large amounts of time between my posts for the next 6-12 month, because: I'M MOVING TO CHESTER, ENGLAND SOON(yay)! But that's beside the topic of today, the concert I recently went to. Boy do I have a story for you!

So the concert was in Duluth, GA and I live in Stone Mountain GA. Getting there was easy, but getting back was the scariest thing EVER, but before I start on that.

OF COURSE THE CONCERT WAS AMAZING ALL THE PERFORMERS DID GREEEEAT AND I GOT TO SEE BAE, ZION.T, WITH HIS SKINNY SELF! Plus I saw some favourite youtubers of mine, the event want pretty epic. Update on my life, I don't have a smartphone anymore because I am trying to focus on my studies so that I can finish my last year of secondary school with a bang POW! But that being said, unfortunately I have no pictures for this post.

BUT TRUST ME I WENT! $170?UM, YES I GOT MY MONEYS WORTH. It was like a dream though lights and confetti and attractive Korean men, and throwback R&B and hip hop songs before the show, and Korean girls in booty shorts and a lot of black girls with natural hair and some with weave, and white, black and Korean dudes, OH AND THE PDA IN THAT WAITING LINE WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD. Hahaha it was cold but like JEEEZUS there was butt grabbing and neck kissing, like "Does umma know about this?!" it was a 18+ concert though so everyone was at least 16 with a fake ID. haha I LOVEEED IT plus Duluth was gorgeous..

Which brings me back to the first story I was telling. Couldn't go to the after party because I had to get home, but I didn't know the only source of transportation up there stopped running early, so I was stuck in Duluth for three hours. I sat in a sauna, until a lady let me use her uber. I PROMISE I WILL PAY YOU BACK KWAJELYN THANK YOU SO MUCH! But it wasn't all bad, because as I said before, Duluth was gorgeous. If I get a car before I go to Chester, I will definitely be heading back there. Thank you Duluth, Thank you Amoeba Culture, and THANK YOU KWAJELYN!! IMA PAY YOU BACKKK!!

ZION.T IS OFFICIALLY COMING TO ATLANTA.

Zion.T is officially coming to Atlanta, and I will be attending that concert.

Happy New Year everyone, and sorry it took more than a moth for me to get back into the swing of things, but I have some news for you all.
My absolute favourite Korean artist will be in my city, and I am going to see him.
The Amoeba Culture Tour is hitting off March 27 in Duluth, GA at Wild Bills and ending March 28 in New York, NY at Terminal 5. The tour was created by the Amoeba Culture record label. Artists on the tour include:
Dynamic Duo
Primary
Crush (holy crap)
As well as Zion.T (He's my favourite!)
It's not everyday that Korean music artists just take a stroll in Atlanta GA, not even in Buckhead or Dunwoody....NOT EVEN IN DULUTH (koreatown in ATL). So the fact that that these artists are coming to Atlanta is a special thing... but I get why they chose these states. Many Korean musicians go to and fro to California and back. And I'm sure Primary, Crush, both of the Dynamic Duo, and Zion. T have all been as well. The thing differentiating these artists from others is that they fall into K-hiphop genre more than that K-POP genre. My theory is that their label is hoping to get more revenue from hip hop lovers, so why not go to where some of the greatest MCs and rappers were made, besides Cali, because as I've said before I do believe these artists have been there before.

Either way and whatever their reasons are for picking Georgia and New York, I AM GRATEFUL. And its at the perfect timing as well. WHOOHOOOO!!! Duluth here I come, baby!
By the way, let me just tell anyone who loves hip hop or  R&B... these artists may speak a different language, but their music is DAMN GOOD, okay?

Goodbye for now my music sluts. Link to the artists will be below!

White Elephant

SCOFFLAW has released their EP "White Elephant", and...its stunning. For me its a bit unbelievable. I'm late with this blog, because I didn't think that I could make words from what's in my head, and whats in my head is pure respect for these guys.
I dont know how they do it, honestly, but I hope they keep it up for a while.

I can't really disect their EP at the moment, because all of their new songs are remastered and perfect, so I'll do that another time. For now I'll tell a personal anectdote (boring right? I know i apoligize). In middle school my friends and I went to Johnny's Pizza and hung out and acted like the wild preteens we were, and every now and then I'll mention how much I miss Johnny's Pizza. It was THE spot...and my music library in my head  wasn't as broad as it is now. Back then i was going through a Rastafarian stage or something,  and my career goals were a psychologist or dancer with no intention of even going close to music unless it dealt with dance. But SCOFFLAW's music reminds me of Johnny's Pizza...

I can't remember any specific types of music the restaurant played or artist they played, but I know they played some rock hits, because my buddy Irene was ALWAYS singing along, and out of all of my friends I think she was the person with the most music influence .

All of that being said, it sucks because I can't compare SCOFFLAW to any great rock artists that I heard at Johnny's, I can only say that their EP "White Elephant" takes me back. Back to Johnny's Pizza. Back middle school. Back to when I thought I was so cool.

Thank you SCOFFLAW.

One Direction #WWAATLANTA

It's been a while friends!
Sorry.  My friend Tori said I was suffering from PCD (Post Concert Depression), and she was probably right because I was in some awful weird funky move for the last month.
But on to WWAAtlanta. It was amazing.
We should have known it was going to be deafening,  though. I'm not even going to lie. I. Was not. Prepared. Girls were screaming because the doors were opened. It was scary. A lot of people think that One Direction is a joke and they don't have "legit" music, and maybe you can argue that statement, BUT their fans are NO JOKE. I had a short moment when I was REALLY obsessed with Liam and Zayn and Harry. Those 30 weeks were when I purchased my tickets. ...and then shortly after the flames burned out. All of the boys are still fine as wine, but they just died out.
It was ecstatic. 5sos did well, they performed amnesia  great, I wish they would have performed don't stop, but its okay.  It was actually really inspiring, like they are real...they really did it.

And don't even pretend like sometimes you forget that celebrities are real, okay? They are like myths, all ways being told and spread about, but never seen.

So to see that they ARE REAL and they could get that many fans to support them within four (?) years is inspiring. It makes me want to pursue my dreams of becoming a music publisher and scorer.

My favourite part was...all of it, I loved it all. It was a shitting good time. Thank you, you five wankers.

(I know the vide is sideways MY BAD, it was intense!!)

SKATER-AID 10

IT WAS DA BOMB.

It really was lovely though you all. There was music, skating (of course), art it was amazinnng!
But since this is music blog I guess I'll speak on the music.

I wasn't really paying much attention to anybody else but SCOFFLAW, but Missing Cat's drummer was killing it.

ANYWAY:
Back to SCOFFLAW.
My favourite was Gibson on the bass, but I just really like the bass guitar. Reid and Luke's playing off each other and keeping up with one another was perfect, Cole's drumming had me shocked, I've never met the guy, but now I want to, and Aidan with his stellar performance, and his signature half-nakedness when the song "West Coast" was being performed, is very unique and of course (rolls eyes) had some girls tripping off their asses, but that is probably good for business.

The entire event was a blast, and of course the music just made it that much better.
